not hugely up on military acronyms, specially not at this tactical level. But I do enjoy learning.
As all of Scaley's are 'gone' I am assuming that a 'piece of bandage' from the local chemists is OK to get?
Yup fine mate.
Sabre sales have tons of em cheap and carlisile dressings, ring em now and im sure they can post you one in time

"I think we are in rats' alley - Where the dead men lost their bones."
I've more important acronyms to be concerned about!
I usually say bandage, because that's what it is.

That's fine, but we will have some scrim that can be used if you can't get any.
The thicker crepe type of bandage (or one with a dressing attached) is best, as the thin type just rolls up into a string and can't be seen, if oyu're not careful.
well the FFD has yards of tan/brown bandage attached, so plenty can be cut off and its still servicable. i dont think a shortage of bandage will be an issue. P.S. just found an FFD in my climbing gear.
As I said I'll be bringing a box of my hessian bandages... They're only for if you're ded 'ard!
can a moderator make a seperate thread
we have a blanco thread and a german helmet thread, we need a FFD/bandage thread
my 1st post will be, "101 WAYS TO AGE A BANDAGE"
"Take that you rotton helping of strawberry flan!"
Joseph Porta to "strawberrys and cream", in the sven hassel book ,ogpu prison
speaking of hessian..... yith, remember all those sand bags i got for you? any chance i can have 2 back? i need them to fill out my e-tool pouch so the bloody handle stays tight and doesnt fall out all the time.
sure... they'll be in the garage when you pop over to fill up your transit.

Please tell me this isn't a euphemism.....

Might not be perfectly correct ,but I've found if you thread the loose end that straps over the helve through the loop and then over the helve handle ,it holds it tighter and doesn't slip.

Regarding the support weapons and 500 bbs bagged up and distributed.
BBs in bags will be fine for the mg42s with high-caps but kind of next to useless in the heat of battle with our mid-caps. Can I ask everyone on the commando team to bring a speedloader with them and carry 100 bbs in it (seeing as the rules appear to mitigate against my 470rnd ones we were using at the training day)?
I will be bringing 4 100 round speedloaders with me... you can borrow all 4.
Cheers Yith, I've got one myself so we should be ok.
Barry,
Will bring the speedloader but, just for clarification, are you using any special BBs or will a normal .2g be OK?

i have one too baz.
Cheers chaps. It's just regular 0.2g 6mm bbs so standard type speedloaders are fine.
Barrie, I still have the one you lent me at Husky ![]()
